While changing th rear discs I had the brake fluid cap off. Dropped the cap down the back and had to break the intercooler pipework join to access it

Once I broke the join I notice traces of oil in the intercooler pipe, I presume this isnt normal or is a slight trace of oil ok?

Car is an Ibiza FR TDi 130 on 32k

normal to have a bit of oil about, seals will be weeping slightly in the turbo but i wouldnt worry about it tbh

Whats not normal is when you give it some revs and it spits oil violently out of the dump valve like my mates old Turbo Wagon Scooby did

Its common, due to the crankcase breather going into the TIP. I was thinking about taking all my pipes off and flushing them out but I bet they would just blow off all the time after due to the crappy clips

AYe Iv read on SCN now that its common, and can be solved by fitting an oil catch can

Nothing wrong with a bit of oil round the joins, if it's spewing it out be worried

wouldnt bother with catch tank just leave it.

Normal, nothing in slightest to worry about, if it was full of oil, and smoking then u would need to worry

Cant see anything externally. Was all inside the pipe when I split it
