Ive had parts for sale in classifieds for a long time (months) and ive sold next to nothing. So if you were in the same position what would you do now?

I have no use for the parts at all and dont see the point of binning them. There is some bits that arent worth a lot like plastics and bits and bobs but then theres Cobra bucket seats, Sparco leather steering wheel, etc that are worth a decent amount. Ive asked friends to ask friends and still nothing.

Would you just wait longer and hope? Or put them on EGay and hope they sell for enough to cover the fees? Im stuck for ideas now as i had quite a lot of interest and then everyone just seemed to drop off the face of the earth

This is the advert:
http://corsasport.co.uk/board/viewthread.php?tid=532649

Am i doing something wrong? Asking too much for bits or not being friendly enough or something else?

Any help would be great as ive got a garage load of parts and have no use for any of them!

First impressions are that the ad is quite cluttered. You may be better listing less items and putting pictures in there.

Ebay 99p start will get them sold. I would do this before binning stuff.

That seems to be another problem. I seem to live hours away from everyone even though in just above the middle of the country!

Post pics of the "interesting" parts like engine bits etc, then I'd leave the link in for the other stuff.

Changed the advert. Few less words and items and a few pictures. Still too many words and not enough pictures though??

One thing that strikes me is the "No Post". Aye people can arrange their own courier but everyone's too fucking lazy to do that I bet a lot more would be sold if you had a price of postage on the items. But obviously you don't have the time!

I always put a picture of each product. Some people say "You know what it looks like" but people want to see the condition of the one you are selling.

Eck i honestly dont have time. I work stupid shifts and im never at home so i dont have time to get packaging, wrap the item, label the item, drive to the post office and then post it. I know it doesnt sound like a lot of time but i really dont get a lot of time.

Graham would you post up a select few pics and put more detailed pics in your garage or just post up all pics?

I'd post up all pics. People are lazy and can't be bothered with that!

Thing is either people are interested or they're not generally, they've probably already made there mind up once they see what it is and the price!

Ye thats why i dont get why people offer you a price etc and then just drop off the earth and dont contact you again. I mean ive said im interested in something and then changed my mind but ive atleast had the courtesy of telling the person i didnt want it.

Just uploading all my pics now and theres like 200 so theres enough selection of images for people but i think i'll have to cut down the amount i post up

We have just clean our garage out ready for the move...

We have things like a chrome cooker hood and a electric piano.. Just put them on ebay 99p. Rather have a quid then just chuck them/cart them to the next gaff!

As said, ebay. CS isn't that great for selling things. I generally think that people want something for nothing on here.

In the same situation in a way mate, I've got three sets of alloys to sell that I've reduced from £200 to £150 to £100 and now £75

Sooo many time wasters it's untrue! Think I'm gonna have to bin mine lol

Website full of timewasters when it comes to buying things, but I'm sure other sites are the same this one just seems to have more of its share.
