If your gonna drop the engine standard into the Corsa for a bit of fun then go for it. But if you are planning on modifying the engine look for a lower mileage example!

if engine has been looked after then it doesnt matter wot mileage is on it, coz u could get an engine with 50k on it and be a complete shitter

Mate that is an excellent price.
Most GTE engines are going for 400-500 quid with 80k+ miles on. Finding a 50k block cheap will be near on impossible imo. Vauxhall engines are good for 150-200k if they've been looked after. Check that it doesnt smoke loads or sound bad when revving. Just give it a good service and maybe a topend recon if you've got some cash spare.
If you say its only had a front ender then you've got front break @ £40, rear beam @ £40, digidash @ £40, Doors, Bumpers, Tailgate,Interior @ £50, Wheels. IMO £300 is an excellent price. If you had posted this towards end of the month when I get paid I would of been asking you for this blokes number.

There are probably cheaper alternatives. PVD cant have the monopoly on corsa conversion kits can they?
