i have a ECU off my 1.2 8v that isn't immobilised, a 1.4 8V ECU wont fit. if you want that ECU you can have it for £20+p+p, U2U me if interested.

wel i would if i could understand if i need it or not will my plug spark once wen the ignition is turned on and not spark wen the engine is turning over does this mean that my ecu is imobilising because its not reading a fault code like my other one wen its immobilising and the engine management light isnt flashing

if its only sparking a few times and then stopping then yes the ECU is immobilizied if there is no fault code, the ECU i have is definately not immobilized, i have only just taken the old engine and ecu out in perfect working order if you need a working ECU.

then you should use the ECU designed for that engine else you will run into more problems. seriously, get an ECU from the same engine else you will face hell. For starters, things will be set up differently, next, the wiring won't be the same. Just go to local scrapyard and search for a 1.2 8v
