alright guys, im curt and i have a nova 1.2 at the moment,
the reason i signed up here is because my good friend just bought a corsa sri 1993 through my recommendation. he wants to modify it subtly (sp) lower it and get some nice vaux alloys for it. anyway hes a complete noob with cars so doesnt really know where to start, i know quiet alot about novas so im guessing there mechanically similar? anyway i will be doing the work on it so i thought i would come here for help.

i have already put a induction kit on it and its sounds awsome already nice growl lol.

Is it a 16v or 8v? Simple mods, coilovers, wheels, tidy exhaust, maybe new lights etc.

its a 8v yeh some of the halo light look pretty neat, thanks for the welcome.
yeh he wants to keep it semi original so nothing too drastic im surpriced at the condition of it tbh very good clean car

Smoked Depo's are a favourite on here. What colour is it? Post 97 bumpers make a huge difference also.

yeh its black, bit of rust on the usual place bonnet lip, i will recomend the bumpers. what are the depos?

Standard replacement lights, but non genuine items, that can be split and the inners painted black, used to be able to buy them done, but dont think there available anymore

yeh they look pretty neat!
i like the grills with the slats in also.
the interior is totally mint, except the lack of mats. drivers boulster is fine its done 100k which is surprising for its condition, already got a couple of probs tho.
im sure the gbox whines in 1st and 2nd.
also there was a horrible screech i think it was the alternator belt tbh, maybe the alternator got seized on. im not sure, also when you give it a bit change from 2nd into 3rd from about 4k rpm it crunches badly and is reluctant to go in gear?

try tightening clutch cable if not then its new box time but youcan pick one up for £30-50 so its not that bad.
