My brother works for a vauxhall dealership and they have just got a VX220 turbo in. As my brother is a petrol head he was one of the first to take it out.

He was well impressed. He said that it would destory his MR2 turbo and its the fastest vauxhall he has driven. The only thing is that at 115mph the front end feels very light but ocne he got it over 140mph it felt alright.

Ive got myself booked in for a test drive at easter when I get back from uni.

Mmmmmmm ive driven the VX220 and that was great fun. If i drove the turbo I don't think they'd get it back

I'm surprised they're letting the Turbo out on test drives.

The dealer I use and my mate works at use the standard VX for demonstrations as they only get one VXT.

The test drives aren't availble for the public, but as my brother works there he got one for me.

Only the Sales Manager was allowed to take it out solo at the dealer I use - anyone else had to be accompanied by him.

Lotus have plans for the Elise that should see away the VXT for good! Still a great car tho!

yeah, there is news in the industry that Lotus have been trialling a fleet of Elises fitted with 2.5-litre V6 Toyota Camry engines near their UK headquarters.

hmm nice but infact still behind as they have been working on the vx220 to push out 250bhp for quite some time as a m8 of mine worked for lotus.. unfortunately seem to have cooling problems with engine with the engine bay being so small and amongst other thngs..

still as anyone read about regarding the twin turbo elise pushing out 400bhp from 2.6 twin turb audi engine??:
