Right Guys, i'm looking for a car but i cant really think of many that will suit me to be honest. I'm 19, 0 NCB, full licence for 1 and a half years. I'm after something cheap to buy and cheap to insure, about £500 for the car.
Needs to be big enough to fit a pram and car seat in as i have a 3 month old son. Something cheap to run and preferably with tax and MOT. Although just MOT will do.

I am struggling to think of many cars that would suit me as a lot of insurance quotes i get seem to be a bit extortionate and £500 for a car isnt really alot, i know.

Only thing i can really think of is a Escort, what else is out there that you could recommend?

Thanx

mate of mine had an escort 1.6 for his first car at 17 and wasn't too bad to insure, wasn't the fastest thing in the world but was quite a nice car.

Wouldnt it have to be a relation though? My mum lives down south so dont know if that would work with her not living near me?
Could try the gf's mother though, if that works?

Don't have to be a relative to be a second driver on a policy i'm sure, it sometimes saves money having an older female on the policy but not always. I put my mum on my policy as a second driver for a year or two because it worked out cheaper but this year it worked out more expensive

If your paying monthly though, the monthly payment is cheaper if you go for the 12 month option.

My boss has a Vectra for £400, try Adrain Flux. They are pretty good with young drivers.
