I paid £29 on AT, had no interest through PH, car sold within 2 days and when he backed out it sold again within 5 days. Worth every penny.

On another note, how much of a mess is AutoTrader's website? Awful and really slow to use.

Autotrader and ebay are both rip off merchants. But they have you by the balls as they are the places that everyone looks

Sold all my cars through Pistonheads with no bother personally though

Yeah, unpaid ads are right at the back on the listings and never get spotted, I forget myself when I'm looking on there. Their phonesafe thing seems to work ok too.

Whenever I go on there I can never be bothered to go many pages back so never actually see standard ads

I got some calls through the Phonesafe thingy so it's a good thing to have for free

We advertised the Nissan on both AT and PH, much more interest on AT. We also found the BM on AT, was MUCH cheaper than similar cars elsewhere too, loads of bargains on AT IMO.

I think pretty much all the cars ive bought apart from one has been found on AT website.

Prefered using the website before it changed, it seems to have got worse.

Ive never used AT for selling a car.Always use PH or Gumtree.Ive never bought a car using AT either.Always the above or Ebay if im desperate.
Never paid for an ad on PH either.I like to think that most people are like me when looking for a car.Much easier using the search function with a price in mind etc.Dosnt throw up all the premium ads for 20+ pages.

It seems to run slower now than it did when it was just a simple belts & braces no jazz site.

Now its been revamped it runs crap................& the silly fake ad's they put in to warn you about this or that does my head in!!
