Ok, so I like the 'Ring VXR & the VXRacing but seriously how many are they gonna bring out. Latest one is Astra VXR Arctic, pretty much the same as the Corsa version i.e, White, 19's in Gloss Black, Black spoiler & mirrors & optional Panoramic Roof. OTR price £23,995

the more new special editions they make, the cheaper the older ones get. Means i will be able to afford one next year with a bit of saving.

I remember when Artic used to mean base spec

I looked at a V6 Vectra Artic once and it was utter poverty spec.

Nah the VXR development team need something to warrant their jobs.

At the end of the day its going to sell regardless not really a stupid idea making low cost changes and charging more money is it?

nice. ive got a vxr racing. if you compare the amount of standard vxrs in certain colours to the number of vxr racing, burg ect the standard vxrs are rarer. eg, only 50 red vxrs were made but 444 astra vxr racings were made. strange eh?

is it not obvious why they make ltd editions?

the current shape is going to make way for the new model, they have spare parts/shells etc and need to get rid of them.

easiest way to do this is to make a limited edition and sell them for inflated prices. very good marketing as most people will see all the extras added ''for free'' and ignore the price hike.

take the focus st. for 2010 they have added gloss black alloys, auto lights/wipers and some other fancy options just to shift a few more models before the new focus comes out.

The Germans have had this model since last year, it's a 'Burg but without the stickers and exhaust and light weight wheels.

It also has a black roof or panoramic roof at extra cost.

Pointless but will sell as they always do.

Looks better here as it's got the 18's on it, the Vauxhall version will have the 19's same as what was on the VXR Racing Edition

Never knew they only did 50 Red VXR's I though they were the most common, its all i see round here(not racing). I thought black was pretty rare, not seen on on the road yet.

only 50 red VXR's? doesn't sound right to me, I've seen loads.

Anyway, my mate was talking about getting an arctic years ago, so they're not a new trim or anything.

50 red VXR's

You sure you're not talking about silver? Star silver is the rarest colour of all.
