I have a x10xe and the DVLA are insisting the car has been scrapped! And are asking for the engine number and as i don't have the log book I cant do it the easy way where is the number located on the engine?

you can get your full chassis number at the front of your windscreen in a wee black cover thing (it's at bottom left or right) it's also printed on a plate in your engine bay.

The actual engine code is printed on the block, where the gearbox bolts on, sometimes a wirebrush clears it up, or rub a candle on it, and it turns white
