Been taking lessons for a while now, done 10. Everyone I ask all they say is its different for every person
I'm pretty good I think and my instructor agrees
Just wondering how many you took so I know how far of I am, passed my theory test as well today
Hoping another 2 months and I should be booking my practical

Ah well, I'm not big headed about it, I just think I'm picking it up well, every thing I've learnt so far I've been able to do it no bother.

About 20, one a week for a few months. Some of my mates seemed to think it was a race, and booked their test after about 10 lessons. They failed though. I passed both my theory and practical first time.

Passed theory first time, got full marks, and about 90% on hazard and perception thingy
Lessons about 12 before i failed my first test, but got a free second test because the instructor completely fucked up my test, he was telling me to go faster down a country road with a speed limit of 30mph because there were cars behind me that i was holding up, WTF. I went and took photos of road and sent it to DVLA who said i was right but they couldnt change the decision so would offer me a free retest.
So i ended up haveing another 4 or 5 lessons while i waited for my retest

I think I only had 12. I thought I was pretty good and passed 1st time with 2 minors.
Always been confident with driving and was used to driving Landrovers & Tractors round the farm before I was 17 anyway.

Don't actually know tbh. Passed within 4 months of my birthday, had a lesson a week so thats about 18. Had a few weeks with two lessons per week so probably 25ish.
Was costing me more a week to learn than I was getting paid at the time
Passed both theory and practical first time though

4 lesson, passed theory first time and passed practical second time with 1 minor. First time, failed with 1 major and 2 minors. Tester was being a bit to anal first time. Nevermind though, took test as soon as possible. Since it was all still fresh in my mind what I done wrong and had no problems.
If you think you can pass your practical no problem, then I say just go for it. What I did, saves paying an instructor "xxx" amount of money.

Thing is when i learned to drive alot of instructors always said everyone has atleast 10 leesons, so 10 hours. when my GF started to drive it was the same story 10 lessons but now alot of instructors only do 2 hour lessons so 10 lessons now is 20 hours
