looking in to getting some new tyres for the speedlines, i have 195-45-r16 tyres on at the moment there firestones - been great i must say!

i want to got the the 195-40 profiles next though,

but what ones should i go for? + is there any makes thats best to go for within reason on the £cash price

been told these are a bit more then the 45's in price??

ive been told to keep clear from the toyos? (never had them to be honest so...?)

i like yokohama's i've had them before but dont last very long?

also is there any 40 profiles out there with like a rim protector type tyre and good tyre walls? they give a stretched sort of look...i think its falkens?? sure they do these if am right

im about to try out some 195/40/16 dunlop sp's had them on the valver for a short time before i sold it seemed okay a few peeps rate them well on here to.

spot on mate, am going to get the 40's next 100%

falkens,toyos,yoko's all all about the same price range? (the cheaper tyres)

then dunlop's,mich,conti's are the next step up in price ive only just rang a few place up, will go shopping via monday

i only ever use www.mytyres.co.uk mate i dont really tend to shop around for stuff have a look.

handle well worse with 40's on and way less comfort n the road. wouldnt bother tbh.

on mytyres, good year eagle F1, £63 a tyre. i can get them for 38 then what ever vat. thats 195/45/15 as well.

Are you bumming or selling ? would be intrested in 5 eagle f1's in 195/45/16

bumming? wont be till next friday when i find out a price for them in 16's, even tho kumhos on that site are dear and i get them for 29 tyre. the likes of toyo's uniroyal etc are around 36ish then vat. so pritty cheap tbh. ill find a price for you in the 16's and u2u with it.

whats the best to go for for the rim protection? theres a few to chose from

- with raised rim rib?

- Rim flange protection?

- with rim protection ridge?

which is the best to go for never new there was that many to chose from

U dont et my choise with 40s tbh had falkens yokos and toyos

Yokos gave good turn in and grip but the had a big side wall and didnt look good

Falkens were good in the dry and alright in the wet

Toyos Are good in the dry and better than ppl mate out in the wet i like them! I rate them

also which out of the other two has a better side wall? am sure its the falkens with a good side wall?

+ al try and find a pic of the side walls am after as it hard to explain

want that side wall look?^ ive only ever seen falkens that do that dont no if the 40 profiles will give off that look anyone?

+ i no thats a bigger alloy ^ then a 16"? but do all falkens do that when fitted?

Kev Falkens wont have stretch like in that pic mate unless you order a slightly different width tyre.

i had some falkens from tyre spot a few year back on some 17" alloys they had that sort of tyre wall as above ^

and they wernt stretched

they looked much better in the arch
