Not sure what a D2S HID kit is but if its just a standard HID kit then there either the group buy or just buy direct from one off the many uk sellers on the bay, just go by the usual good feedback and you should not going wrong.

in saying that nowadays would not hesitate buy from HK / china, have never once been let down by these sellers and normally arrive within 10 days off ordering, just watch for inport duty on higher value purchases but again have personally never been bothered with these either.

HIDs Direct get good reviews on most forums, my first kit on my C was from them and was good. They're also on eBay.

35w is the standard output of the kits, 55w are mega mega bright. I may be wrong but I don't think they're suitable for a lot of cars std. wiring and can cause error messages etc. Also more likely to land you in trouble with the Police. 35w are still far brighter than standard lights

No worries

Only other thing, I have no idea what bulb a D2S is, but does it only do dipped or main beam, and not both? That kit I linked you to is only 1 filament so will only do dipped or main.

You sure about the wattage thing ie. 35 versus 55 watts, from what I have read its all markiting talk and there is no visable difference between the light output off the two sets.

anyone confirm this ??

p.s went for an 8k HID set and must admitt for the money its one off the best mods I have ever bought.

forgett what folk tell you about 8k being too blue, its not its a strong white with a blue tint, certainly nothing to get you pulled for.

55w hids are quite bright, not massively different to 35w though.

d2s are hid bulbs to start off with are they not, if you need d2s bulbs you already have hids?

I am fitting Xenon headlights, so therefore need xenon bulbs.

Vauxhall prices for OE ballasts and bulbs are stupid amounts.

So by using a aftermarket ballasts and bulbs it works out so much cheaper but is the same.

The fitment i need is D2S instead of H7.

Just some people have mentioned there 35w kits have caused abit of flickering and changed to 55w and all is fine, dont want it too bright though and them looking like barryboy bulbs

Whether kits work or not seems to be totally random, I bought a kit that everybody said worked fine and I ended up having loads of hassle with them.

I understand what he's doing now he's said he's fitting xenon headlights.

55w aren't too bright, especially in proper xenon units, they'll be fine.

Hi mate

I am running a group buy on hid kits, see sig below. What are you asking? if you car has Hids/xexon lights already fitted then you need d2s bulbs or similar. If you dont already have hid/xexons fitted then you will need an aftermarket hid kit that i can supply you. These are direct bulb and play kits and take not time to fit. What car and year are you fitting them to. All we need is the original bulb fitted to the car but we can check this out for you.

Regarding the 35w and 55w kits, the 35w is ok to use on the road and wont destroy the wiring. This can be fitted to all cars including new cars that run the cambus system to detect broken bulbs. But a bulb cancelling unit will be needed to stop the error fault coming on the dash. 55w kits can be used on new cars but they are very bight on the road and most likely cause issues with the police.

Anymore questions please ask away.

Cheers MJ
