I wasn't planning on doing this for a couple of months yet, but because this happened earlier in the week:

I thought it would be a good excuse to get these:

So have spent the best part of today fitting them, with a fair amount of time in the rain.

Rear springs on:

This pic was taken before it was sat in/driven etc. Pictures after it's been washed tomorrow

Epic props to Rich H for hooking me up sharpish and at short notice

Cheers mate The Irmy springs are 30mm although personally I think it went down more than that

It has gone down a bit more since I've driven it.

It does settle more once driven - did for me anyway, and yeh I swear it drops more than 30mm

Mine always sat nicely though imo - was never impractical at least.

No worries about sorting you out with them mate - typical it happened a week before the meet tbh!

dont the 1.8sri sit lower anyway, so your using 25mm lowering springs on a car that was allready 10-15mm lower hence it not looking any diffrent

if they didnt come of a 1.8 might be diffrent axel weights too

It deffo looks less shopping trolley-ish, there's definetely a difference. Arches and skirts done gloss black would improve it greatly.

My thoughts too Lee

Oh I forgot to say Adam, yeah they did Didn't expect them to be that big Not had a chance to do anything with them because of the weather.

Cheers again anyway Rich, really helped me out

Yeah the SRi's do have 15mm lower springs as standard but I still wanted a bit more anyway Plus with these on the ride is still good and it rolls less through corners etc.

That's the plan Alan, when I can afford it

Cheers Neil, you and Rich will get to see it in person next week And

Best pics I could find to show the differences when on mine:

Full SRi set up - shocks and springs. Sat same height as 1.8's - that's with a measuring tape etc

Irmy springs, SRi shocks, SXi wheels:

Forgot to add, they were on a 1.8 before Rich had them

Cheers Gavin and Used it so I didn't get quite as damp laying on the floor

The o/s rear spring was well hard to get out, had both struts undone and a compressor on the spring and it still needed some persuading Obviously would have been easier with the axle stand set on the highest but didn't know which to put it on so guessed.

Yep

The stands have 3 holes and the old car needed to be on the middle one so I did the same again

I still have my standard B springs Could have it right decked at the back

Nah Craig I got them off Rich H. I didn't know Irmscher did shocks, presumably they just have a slightly shorter piston than standard and maybe a bit stiffer?

I'll have a look at your thread now mate

Edit: Tried it but either that link doesn't work or you need to sign up to look in the for sale section.
