Some places will do a cash job for next to nothing, others will charge the full price of the job. Depends on if the boss is in or not

brother paid £20 to get his swapped on to his bbs wheels and they put a nice score round 2 of the wheels. He never noticed for a few days so couldnt really take it back as they would deny all knowledge.

I'd say its £10 to put a tyre on a wheel. Where your taking a tyre off a wheel, and putting it on another wheen, you might find they charge you double as its double the work.

So at worst, i'd pay no more than £20 per corner to have a tyre removed, then re-fitted, but really it should cost about £10 per corner.

Watch with eagle eyes though. I've had nothing but trouble from tyre swappers, stealing the metal capps fo the VXR, damaging the VXR wheel, damaging my bike wheels, ripping off paint.

Watch with eagle eyes!!! I do now!!

I get it done for £5 a corner, or 'a drink'. Depends if the manager is there or not.

you have to think of the time and space you are taking up to do this for little money compared to a job where they sell the tyres as well. Just pay what they ask.

There's a guy that lives in my road that works for Kwik Fit as a fleet inspector, but often see the mobile fitters down here, might be worth a punt

yeah if its got car fitting machine out of work hours a quick cash favour is quite welcomed. Fleet van will likely not have car fitting equipment in though.

Yeah the fleet one is only a fiesta van, but i'm sure a call to one of his mates will bring down the sprinter type vans i've seen down here before

I payed £30 a few months back. That included valves and balancing. I didn't ask them to put the tyres back on the other wheels as they where scrap anyway. That was at one of them equipe autocentres, Used to be apples (Was the only place open at the time as I was desperate for them to be done!

I paid £12.50 at a local independant place to swap a bike tyre a few days ago. Which I thought was extortionate!

Considering it takes them about 2 minutes I'd have thought between a fiver and a tenner is about right. Guy didn't even dispose of my old tyre!

At least you've got a decent idea of the price now.

Depends if the fitter has to take the wheel off his car and fit them back to the car. I'd expect a tenner minimum really, mainly as tyre places actually like to sell their own tyres.

Also Daimo you are the worst kind of customer.
