iv got a x16xe corsa sport , janspeed 4-2-1 sportex system ,de cat , mantzel powerbox ,stripped out in the back
i passed him prety easily and he couldnt keep up . i had to let off at one point to allow him to catch up , i know the boy and he wasnt hanging about he was going for it . quite impressed at my x16xe that means im pushing out atleast 125bhp

id imagine it would be quite close with your mods and a decent example 106gti, maybe you caught him in the wrong gear, or maybe his is fooked

Do you know the car? If so, was it standard?
My gti was 940kg on the scales with full interior and a 2.5" BTB system which weighs a fair bit.

well i seen him going out of the town and i thought ahhhha so i followed him . when he seen me coming i heard him drop a gear so i sank the boot , went round a few corners and the first straight we came to i passed him and he couldnt pass me in , spoke to him when we came to the next town and he was rather impressed and did admit he was pushing his gti

haha glad you beat him. the guy with the 106 is a half desent driver so it wasnt down to him being a shit driver.

Sounds about right I guess, his is standard and full interior? Both about the same power and weight. Wouldn't of said that you would have blew him away though, unless his was a dog.

wel i passed him with no trouble and from there on he was just trying to keep up , am chuffed now need to get my car on the rollers

Probably a dog of an engine then. A 106 with a good engine and breathing mods would have resulted in a different outcome.
Yours will probably be about 125 at a guess?

that is very true but they are pretty equal drivers and tbh james car doesnt handle very good at all so really he could have only beatin him on the straights.

yeah a know mike its a serious issue ! why is it when i post saying i raced him on the country roads and won , everyone starts saying his car must of been fucked lol his cars got very low miles on the clock if i recall right and he paid a fair bit for it , i beat him fair and square deal with it
