can anyone post a close up of a powder coated rim, im looking for the quality of the finish so an angled shot showing reflection would be good

Not silver but post it anyway,mines had a slightly dimpled effect.

i think thats probaly almost the colour i want, what is that? just anrthracite?

anthracite is just grey in general..

volvo titainium grey
ford graphite grey
lexus also do a nice grey

this is just to name a few

heres the cesaros i did on my old corsa..



ford graphite grey, look dull in that picture though..

Yes i bought them freshly powder coated, and i sifted through swatch books in a bodyshop until i got a close match to the wheels.

If you go to any decent powdercoaters they will have colour books they do there colours in, some companys only do flat colours, some do metallics.

trouble is a square inch of colour on a bit of paper looks completely differeent when on a wheel on a car, i remember broster got some done and they turned out blue

I thought powder coating gave an excellent finish, like really really shiney, but I've just had my Cesaros done, and they aren't as good as I was expecting.

This is before I polished and waxed them



And this is after.



Alot better after a polish but still not as good as the speedlines I bought a while back. This finish. But dunno whether they were powder coated or painted.

yeah im opting for powder coating because paint, even if done properly tends to get stone chipped easily

Ok mate, how much you get the powder coating done for? CAS coatings by me does any gloss colour for £1 per inch of a wheel. ie £15 per cesaro. Cheap me thinks. They are all bead blasted before hand too.

worked ok for me, you just have to look into the colour, i think i match the book to the wheels via a crysler colour

got that at an angle with a reflection

might stay with silver if the finish is comparable as sprayed
