Cool as imo, but the desirability makes them worth £££
Unless you plan to buy a proper old banger one for not much monies and restore it.

Uncle has had dozens, the best one was a red and white split he got for like 2.5k years ago that was immaculate, then sold it for 16k.
The thing was dog slow though, struggled to do 50mph.

Our next door neighbour but one when we lived at our old house had an orange one out the back It was a T2 version. It was a bit of a wreck so was a project that he started off, never got finished as he ended up going round the world or something

Love them. I will own one one day and probably Porsche engine it.
Last time I looked ( a couple of years back), £5k got you nothing though - they still needed muchos money spent to get them up to a standard I'd be happy with anyway, so can't imagine that's changed much.

Can get one that is running for 5k but will need a lot of work to make mint.
5k is my limit - know when i start spending money on it, i'll want it done properly and will spend tons on it over the years.

TBH mate, i really dont think 5k will get you anywhere. My dad has a t25 (a lot less desirable!) which is mechanically pretty crap and the interior was awful for £2,500. The Bay windows go for quite a bit even in a terrible condition. But good luck with looking
This is his:
Interiors all been re-done since, but a complete money pit
