No, you will realise its the right choice when you have the bike as well!

Cars are for carrying shopping and kids, bikes are for men.

You'll get sick of it mate. It's nice in the sun but how often does that happen in the UK? Even carrying the smallest things becomes hassle

Using a bike all year round takes the fun out of riding imo. Have a bike as a toy.

Wanna buy my Ducati 748?.....

Totally agree, have a bike by all means, but dont have it as your only transport.

I use mine a handful of times a month and enjoy every second when I'm out. If I use dit daily in all weathers I would hate it..

Nooooo guys the plan is also to get a runaround like an old escort/ mondeo to use when it's bad

I only use my scoob once a week for college and then maybe the weekend blast but i've been yearning for a bike for years now and i'm finally ready to go for it Plus the wife has a Micra CC for us to use all the time.

Jimmy it's funny you should say that mate i've been looking at 916/748/996's but i really need an easy to look after/fix bike plus i'd want at least some pillion use.

In mind is a GSXR 600 at the moment but only because the insurance is £180 a year carazy.

What year? If you're using it as a toy then go for it definetly.

I've got a K2 600 just now.. Apart from feeling like a clone of every other gsxr on the road I cant fault it. Wouldn't say its the most forgiving of bikes, had a few sketchy moments but thats probably due to me being an arse when the roads really arent great yet.

yeah do what most bikers do and just have it in the garage, take it to bits every now and again and keep changing the tyres for no reason

my uncle has just got rid of his 07 plate bandit, he only uses it for fun and it had 45k on it

ok mattk lol i know somebody with a rs cosworth which has done 1/4 of a mile in over 10 years, he pushes it out of the garage to clean it and pushes it back in lol now thats not using it...

tyres need changing alot cos their soft and unless you ride a bike you would know they flatten off in the middle which worsens the handling, fresh new tyres make a HUGE difference which you dont get from a car.....

anyway the majority only do a few miles a year is OBVIOUS WHY WOULD YOU RIDE one in the wet weather on purpose?????? fair enough if you get caught in weather on route but if its pissing down i would never turn to my mrs and say.............

thunderstorms darling think ill get the bike out

bikes are awesome and best thing i like is when you go for a blast you dont get the traffic problem, as you just find the smallest straight 2nd gear baaarrrrrrrppppppp 125 in second lol past 6 cars and kool clear road again no waiting in a car......... behind the 40mph brigade

Done 30k on the bandit in 3 years, and we worked out i've done over 100k miles on the bike

Am I bored of it using it every day for work? Nope.

It can be a little frustrating in winter, im thinking of getting a car as i've been doing it 10 years now. If you can afford both, then go for it

AS for weather, i've done loads of weekend miles without any rain.
