I thought they couldn't do the VXR's with that roof because of it being weaker or some shit?

It won't be 23k and the panoramic window is an OPTIONAL EXTRA.

Astons will sell them for £17,995

They done the testing for the roof on the 'Ring about 3 years ago but due to the financial climate nothing ever came of it until now.

The panoramic screen.

When the astras came out we REALLY wanted that. But they only done it on the derv versions, not on the VXR, so couldn't have it

I love the roof, its ace, but they've hardly sold any of them.

Otherwise, its just another VXR.... Move on vauxhall, get the new bloody car out, stop re-branding the old one.


Now VXRacing is no more, does this mean Vauxhall will now drop the badge, as there is no Racing vauxhalls anymore.....

The new Astra VXR will be unveiled at the end of the year.

They have already said that the Focus RS is the benchmark for power and the Megane is the benchmark for the handling.

The 2.0 SIDI engine from the Insignia SRi is being used and that is supposed to be a fantastic engine and easily mapped to high power much like the VAG 2.0 engines.

So reading between the lines I believe the Astra J VXR will be 280bhp with diff and Brembos.

its getting stupid, not just vauxhall either.

its the whole trend of today really, sling on some gimmicks, call it special edition, hike the price up, i now see cars the same as tv's, ipods, etc.
