i fitted fast road piper cam shafts and some vernier pulleys not got a brand on them new cambelt kit the lot. done about 1000 miles with it all on sat at round about and big bang the inlet pulley has snapped. where the 7 ring of bolts bolt to the end of cam shaft, destroyed engine got no compresion in cylinders 1 and 4. has any one eles had the same problems.

What cams wer they, what pistons were in engne, what revs were u doing?

Did you torque the bolts to the correct setting?

yes it was all set up correctly and bolts was tight dont no the make of the pulleys brought them off ebay look like old pulleys that have been made adjustable and the cam are piper fast road

And being tight doesnt mean its torqued correctly. Couldv'e over torqued it

Yea, converting old pulleys doesn't sound the best of ideas as there isn't really a lot of metal there to work with.
