getting pissed off with this car now
4 out of 5 times my car will start no problem at all but a small amount of time it wont start at all but if i walk away from the car for 10 mins then it will start again no problem, although today the car just cut out at a junction an wouldnt start so had to be towed home but later on the car started again no problem, does that sound like a problem with the immobilizer? if so is there anything i can do? if its not the immobilizer does anyone know what it might be?
car is a astra coupe z20let

If its the immobiliser i think the Engine Management light should flash at you whilst your trying to start it, saying that it is rejecting the transponder in the key.

Sounds like a Sensor issue - does the EML light operate? (in case a bulb has been removed)
As said, immobiliser fault should see the EML flashing where it rejects the key chip

When you try to start the car can you hear a very faint thud coming from the engine bay? If so it could be a starter motor is needed as when it heats up = expands + worn = new one needed. Could be flywheel ring gear is a bit chewed at a certain point.

EML is on all the time but the only fault code is for the o2 sensor, this came from a tech2, the light doesnt flash
