right my corsa has recently develpoed a bit of a nocking noise. sounded like a plastic nocking tho.
anyway i jacked the car up started the engine and it sounded asif it was coming from the cambelt.
i took off the cambelt cover and one of the cogs on the end of the camshaft was loose so i tightend it which nocked the timing out, so i had to take off the belt and re time it.
anyway long story short is the car will not start now. the timing is spot on ive checked it 3 times. ive taken out a sparkplug and left it in the ht lead and im getting a spark. i have fuel in the tank but no way of telling if it is going into the engine.
the startermotor spins but the engine isnt even trying to turn over.
is their a sensor or anything that might have come lose that would cause this as i can not find anything that would cause this.
PLEASE HELP.

does the car turn over but just not fire up? Do a compression test. could have timed it wrong and bent some valves

Ordinarily, the crankshaft sensor would be a likely culprit for not starting, did you disturb it when you were under the car? Test the camshaft sensor with a multimeter, might as well do it yourself, rather than pay a garage for it. Look up the Haynes manual for this.
Are you sure you set the engine timing up on the compression stroke, if it is not, then the car will never start, you may well have the timing out by 180%. Re-time it again, but a finger on no.1 piston, turn the engine until you feel the compression against your finger/thumb. Then set tdc from there.
