As title:

Mate got a 1.7 TD MK3 Astra on N plate. Cambelt snapped but he wants it back on the road....

Is the engine interferance or not?

I would think it is. But you never know he may have got away without damage. I paid £13 for a cam belt for that engine a few weeks back on eBay. Not a lot to lose to just chuck a new one on and try it.

My bet is there'll be damage though.
