Pedals

I have SPD's at the moment.
Although the do help a bit on inclines, I just don't like them enough to keep them.
Yesterday, I finally made up my mind to bin them. I did the obligatory "fall off in front of everybody on a main road" moment

So, what would you recommend?
Main type of riding is just commute and a bit of xc.

I would never turn back from SPD's

Do you have the adjustable one so you can slacken off the spring grip on the cleat like shimano ones

Yeah, they're adjusted already.
I've just grown to hate them now

I dont like SPDs on my Mountain bike either. I have DMR V8s.

DMR V8's or V12's and some Five Ten MTB Shoes (super sticky soles). Sorted

I have always ridden with flats as I used to ride trials and run DMR V12's on my Specialized FSR XC at the min.

exactly why I ride with flats. Been a hell of alot of times I've been able to walk away from a crash cos I've not been clipped in and just sort of run off the bike or gone the other way to it. I bet a few of those times I'd of ended up a right mess if I'd been clipped in

i've not had any really close calls but then again i only do XC so most of the time you can see whats coming and unclip early if it looks a bit dodgy. I have a set of Kona Jack Shit here that i got for riding places i'm not used to but i've never actually used them.

Tonight I would of gone over the bars and face planted some rocks if I had been clipped in. As it was I just ran off it

Dont buy DMR they arnt very good.

Wellgo Mg-1, i must say it a million times a day working in a bike shop, but these are the pedals you want!

Super strong, very grippy and seriously light (magnesium)
