They have been for sale for the past year of 2 years. The Americans want a unrealistic amount for the club though. Also in the grand scheme of things its not worth that much anymore. Out of the Champions league, needing a new stadium, heavy investment in the squad needed.

Its because they've realised that they have bought a sinking ship.

As the Rickmeister has already said, No trophy, AGAIN, NO Champions League, did crap in the League and FA Cup. The club needs a complete overhaul.

See, now you're actually totally wrong saying history doesnt make the club worth more, as its exactly that which makes it more valuable than some other clubs.

The history means we have built up a fan base going back generations through families, not just in this country but all over the world - Dad's who watched our great teams in the 70s and 80s are now bringing their kids up as Liverpool fans. Its why we are one of the largest supported clubs in world football even given our poor recent history. Its also the reason were able to sign sponsorship deals that are worth more than Uniteds - now imagine how big they'd be if we were winning a load of stuff!!

Im glad the club is up for sale, can HOPEFULLY get someone in who can get the stadium build started and provide some funds for the manager.
