i have a standard corsa c sxi stereo in my car and im wondering if you can wire a amp up to a standard stereo as i really dnt want to lose the steering wheel controls

i dont believe the standard stereo has the phono outs to do so.

ok if thats the case is there anyway to keep the steering wheel controls with a aftermarket stereo ?

Yeah you can do, either using an amp with speaker lever inputs or by using a speaker to RCA level converter.

Although you can buy adaptors that'll allow the majority of aftermarket headunits to be operated from the steering wheel controls
