Missus is swapping her car, currently has a 1.2 SXi Corsa D.

Today we have driven:

Ford Fiesta Zetec 1.25 / 1.4 - GASH.
Vaux Corsa D 1.4 SXi - No major gains same car, less spec similiar power.
Citroen DS3 1.6 Turbo - Great little car, quick and sporty (only engine they had on demo - too expensive)
Alfa Mito 1.4 (95bhp) - Nice car, but too heavy and would struggle to pull skin off a rice pudding (silly money new for what they are)
Seat Ibiza 1.4 Sport - Fantastic car, nippy for engine size and quite chuckable on the twisties.

So far fav is the Seat Ibiza.

What other cars would you suggest test driving before committing to buy, and anyone want to buy a excellent condition 2007 Saphire black 1.2 SXi

I couldn't think of anything else really, other than a derv variant because you get a bit more bang for your buck.

Brand new or pre-registered with delivery / low miles.

Fiat 500 she's not so keen (too small) and would have to be an Abrath for me to be driving it

Only others I have thought about since coming home are...

Clio / Punto / Polo

That was another option but for money of a new Mini (cooper / cooper s) your looking at alot of car in another make for that price.

I have mentioned second hand for same budget which will get alot more car for money but think she wants new again, especially when parents and brother has just been getting new cars (Corsa D's)

If you decide on an ibiza test drive the 1.6 tdi sport. Pretty nippy and get epic mpg.

The new clio looks wank with that big black plastic bar across the front bumper.

New Polo looks nice though.

Newest shape Ibiza is it the mk5?!

Going for another look / drive on Wed so looks like could be the one.

Looking around £12k total so part ex of Corsa D and cash towards.

New Ibiza diesel is just outside price bracket so will be 1.4 Sport!
