corsa b 1.0 12v (x10xe) with cone filter without aftermarket exhaust - snort or no snort?

iv been told they sound like a x14xe but slower? dont say try it and see, my 1.0 is 180 miles away atm thanks

If you fit an induction kit to a 1.0 it will eat airflow meters for breakfast.

I just unclipped the side of the airbox on mine on the D/S rather that drilling loads of little holes

but is a cone filter not just taking in the same amount of air? i thot it was the shape and the fact its not covered that makes them snort? if thats true then aslong as its not sookin in hot air from the engine then will it not be as good if not better? thanks

i wouldnt have thought it was for tuning. tbh 90% of people that fit a cone filter is not for tuning its for induction noise, such as this thread is about.

correct but like nic said i wouldnt really call it tuning lol. u will never make a 1.0 fast, its a cheap run around until i find a engine for it, i want to make it as fun as i can with the 12v-olt engine (haha) in her! cheers for comment anyway boys

But a cone filter is a tuning product as far as i was aware.

imo - they just say its a tuning product to make u buy them lol, i would call them a noise enhancement product
