Take the hazard switch out, turn it upside down, press it and the ignition will come on, bump start it and it'll start. Only problem is steering lock

Worked on my 1999 Corsa
Take off the hazard cover, take out the actual switch and place it back in upside down, ignition comes on and push away

If the steering lock isn't on in the first place then when the ignition comes on it won't work.
It's possible to do it, but I've only ever managed to find one nova that it worked on,
Never worked on any corsas I've tried, and I've personally had 14 of them,

Steering lock comes on when the key is removed its not electronic so you need the key otherwise it'll just come on when you turn too far. Its worked on 4 corsas that i know of and only 1 didnt work. Think its just a bit of hit and miss.

The car wont stay running than longer than 5secs due to the imobliser.
Its not all pre 97 corsas, Any 16v corsa but C16XE's will need the key for the imobliser.

So far I have seen this done on Nova's Corsa B's and Tigra's but obviously Tigra's and Corsa B's are pretty much the same thing.

Its not engine its year releated. IIRC any car made after 1995 or 96 has to have an engine immobiliser. You WONT be able to start the car without the transponder chip.

Where thiers a will thiers a way, but surely its not advisable tell every fucker how its done. If I was to nick a car to break for bits i'd simply hiab it off no need for nothing then

i bought a 1.2 nova runabout a few years ago with no steering lock, used to remove hazard switch when parked up as you could open the door with any key and too many of my mates knew about hazard switch trick
