I need to, but am struggling, managed for 2 weeks straight simply by waking up one day and going fuck it i dont want any, then i started again.

Dont have money to waste on patches/shit, there gimmicks anyway.

Really need to stop soon as my athsma is starting to play up again

I find keeping busy stops me needing to smoke. I still smoke but usually a lot more when im bored. So try a hobbie or something that takes all of your concentration and a large amount of time e.g. rebuilding an engine, etc

Go to anal levels of perfection with it and it'll soon stop you thinking about smoking!

I'm already on the case with the anal perfection, spent an hour with the wire wheel/drill on one third of my inner wheel arch !

Going to stop tomorrow and keep myself busy, i have 6 snout left from a 10 deck this morning, so i'll try and smoke less tonight when i'm out with my mates and offer as many as possible out

I think the fact i'm not working and am not always doing things doesnt help, like now i'm bored, so i'm gonna make a cuppa tea and go for a smoke ...

im 6 weeks into quitting. using the low level patches and i have the inhalator. easy peasy and ive got out of the habbit of smoking and am really starting to hate the smell now. weaning myself off the patches by only putting one on if ive got a particularly long day ahead

Last time i stopped i used to have a bit of chewing gum every time i felt the notion for one, so going to try that again.

I dont think it's the initial stopping, its keeping it that way because most of the people i know smoke so theres always temptation/offers ...

You have a breathing condition what the heck might as well give yourself lung cancer as well.

Nae sympathy for folk that have asthma and smoke tbh, you are a muppet.

Wasnt asking for sympathy, was asking for advice
on stopping, i know i should never have started but it was one of those peer pressure moments at school.

Guy at work smoked. Found out his girlfriend was pregnant and stopped smoking that day. Hasn't touched one since apart from having a cigar when his daughter was born.

Weak people say they can't quit. If you really want to do something you will.
