I seem to spend most of my time these days in Off Day so I thought it was about time I posted something in general chat about cars
I just thought I;d share that I got my interior professionally 'trimmed' in carbon fibre vinyl by a guy off the skyline forums, and I thought I should share the pics. I know its not an amazingly hard job to do crudely, but as with window tinting, its ususally better to pay someone with experience to do a good job of it thefirst time round! Here are the pics of it anyway...

I've also bought a full Carbon Fibre spoiler off an R34, and I am getting a carbon bonnet soon too. The only plans after that are a new front bumper because the current one is too low and doesnt suit the lines of the car at all, get a couple of dings tidied up, and then new seats to clean up the rest of the interior. So, what do you reckon?

Oh, and I also put the chrome rings around the dials - I'm suprisingly pleased with those too even though I cut my finger quit badly while fitting them and then had to clean blood off the dash

It looks very neat

But... your steering wheel sucks ass. And your floor mats sucks your ass' ass.

If it's been gel coated then it would be glossy. When it's used properly it isn't usually gel coated, it's just painted. Especially in motorsport where it's a major feu par to have bare carbon on display.

Lacquer wont stick to that stuff without making a mess either.

Looks good, I believe BMW use a similar material on their interior trim.

I think it would've looked better painted gloss black but then I do really dislike fake carbon fibre.

I have this in stock at work now, its an amzing bit of kit, but isnt cheap, and once you balls it up, you have to start again, i have done a few bits and bobs in my car and it looks nice,

as for laquer it looks a bit odd after it, we have wraped a few things and then laquerd them after and i dont think it looks as good ,

but it looks good in your car mate
