Has there been a rise in car insurance? Reason I ask is my renewal is soon due and even though I now have another years no claims, my quotes are nearly £150 more than last year!! BTW I'm 26, 7 years NCB with an Astra MK5 SRI, getting quotes of £560!! No other deatails have changed since last year

Yes, mine went up this year by about £80 and I couldn't get any better than that quote. I'm 26, 9 years NCB, 1 non fault accident.

Yeah Ive got two mates in this situation, one went up, the other stayed the same after another years no claims. As if it wasnt dear enough already

I've dealt with 4 seperate policies over the last few months and every one has went down so it's not went up for everyone.

No doubt you'll get a cheaper price if you phone them up though. My renewal in December was a he of a lot cheaper than I expected though.

They've gone up. They want £200+ more for my 206 than they did 6 months ago.

Ive just got my first car and they want 2400 for a 1.2 sxi... when i quoted this in october they only wanted 1600... Anyone reccomend an insurance company

Go to confused.com and find the best 3 on there

Then call them and see if they can better the quote on the phone, say you have a better offer elsewhere but dont say what. Call the next and see if they can beat the price quoted by the first. Repeat with the 3rd.

Mine went from just under a grand (Think it was £981 online or something) down to £781 doing that.
