i have a fear of the stuff being off. have to sniff the bottle every time before i pour it into tea or on to cereal. am i alone in my milk sniffing?

I just look at the date & make sure theres no lumpy bits in it as I pour.

I read the use by date, and if its close I sniff it too.

I do the same also i cant finish the bottom of a milk bottle as i always think its off even if its new that day

if it smells cheesey its time for the bin

edit . my boss isnt botherd tho, ive seen him makes cups of coffee with gone-off milk. could see bits of cheese looking stuff floating about in his coffee.

tbh, I dont sniff because after a few days, it doesnt smell that great.

Its usually ok if its still within the date and theres plenty left.

I always sniff the milk unless I have bought it myself and therefore know when it was bought as generally a 6 pint carton only lasts a couple of days.

I love the stuff and as I've said above a 6 pinter only lasts 2 days with me.

I absolutely hate the smell of sour milk, Unfortunately for me I have to smell it quite regular as I deliver the stuff.
Means I always have fresh milk though

yup, tasted like cheap herbal tea with bubbles, wouldnt recomend it tbh.

i can remember buying a pint of milk from my mates shop, just tipped it into my mouth and just felt a load of lumps go in went straight out the window after that and made me spew.
