Who would you rather have playing in your club team? I would personally have Lampard over Gerrard because he has been so consistent and scores 20+ a season from midfield and rarely gets injured.

How can you say Gerrard hasn't been consistent? They're both good players, just that Gerrard has picked up more injuries.

With regards to scoring goals and fair enough Gerrard has been poor this season.

Obviously I'm going to pick Gerrard - not sure how you can argue otherwise as when he is on form Gerrard will score just as many as lampard and offers so much more.

Based on this season? Lampard by a mile.

Overall I'd say it was closer than most owuld suggest as well, 20 goals+ a season over several seasons is a frightening return and was unheard of until Lampard showed up.

Lampard easily from the form this season. I would pick Lampard anyway, Gerrard is a dirty diving cheating hypocrite.

Frank has 22 league goals and 12 assists this season, and the total is 26 goals and 17 assists. And he does this season in season out, I think he has the same amount of goals and assists roughly in the last 5/6 seasons.

Yup, like in the PL last year when he scored 12, or 10 before that, 11 before that...

And what was the total amount, which was more of what I was eluding to. Also, opinion on yesterdays game and missing out on fourth ?

Im happy you won, after saturdays results we had no chance anyway.

Missing out on 4th is a big blow and the only positive is that it forces the yanks to sell as they struggled to afford us with CL footy.

I have to be honest, the game seemed piss easy for us, we could scored a hatful but I guess that sums up the season you lot have had.

Oh, and in all comps going back from last season its 20, 20, 21, 20, 19, 15.

Impressive but not the 26 plus you suggested.

We were in control until Gerrard's 'mistake', but we just had no fire power as per.

I have to say your lot really didnt impress me much at all, not considering it was a must win game - it was kind of played like it was a friendly (or as if the final result was already known!)

We created loads of chances. After the first 20 minutes you lot didn't do anything. I think you had one shot on target and that was by Kuyt in the 91st minute. We could of scored 4 or 5, but Reina was in good form. Kalou should of had a penalty, he gave Mascherano a torrid time as well

If you break it down into different aspects of the game, then Gerrard would come out on top.

Passing = Gerrard (Although Lampard is a hell of a passer)
Tackling - Gerrard
Scoring - Lampard
Influence on team - Gerrard
Flexabillity = Gerrard

Gerrard (and a couple of others) has pretty much carried Liverpool for a couple of seasons now, I dont Lampard would have the same effect at Chelsea if you took a lot of thier other players.
