Waiting on the police coming round today for a statement etc. Had to go to hospital last night and off work at the min with the pain. Should i ring my insurance tell them what happened and get them to put me through to solicitors or go through one of these no win no fee claim things, Whats the best thing to do

Not true.
Still left a motor accident, which is a crime.

Also why Police very rarely attend accidents in which nobody is hurt and if the road isnt blocked/dangerous.

i drove whilst driving on phone to police once
some guy came around the corner in the middle of the road and swiped down the side of my car, and didnt stop, so i turned round and went after him, phoned police whilst driving told them what i was doing, followed him all the way home, still on phone to police who said to get out the car and knock on his door so i did.
was some old guy claimed he never even knew he done anything. Police never said anything about me being on the phone

My insurance? No, they would have logged a claim against me and I don't want another one on my record.

Why claim on yours? It wouldn't effect your insurance at all, if you had his plate, you phone insurane and they sort everything else out. You wouldn't of had any claims against you,

Some guy crashed in to a friend of mine and drove off. She got his number plate details and went to the police station. They said there was nothing they could do as there was no evidence, despite her smashed up nsr wing, she would have had to claim on her own insurance if we didnt fix it ourselfs. But thats not the point. The police couldnt even be botherd to look into it, despite it happening right outside a petrol station with CCTV.

Few years back I got rear ended, guy stopped got out said it wasn't his fault and drove off. I got his plate and went through insurance. They dealt with it all and I got money for the car since it was a write off. If you have been hit and you have the guys plate just go through insurance, nothing will happen to your premium or anything else to your insurance.

Nothing happened to mine Why would it possibly go up if its not your fault? That makes no sense what so ever.
