£10 + vat for tools.

£20 + vat for lift and tools.

quite a lot per hour.

If your the sort of person who would do your own work to your own car youd probably be better just buying tools, but its a good short term solution.

supose if you were at it for a few hours couldnt fix it then took it to a garage it would cost a fortune.
this service would be usful for some people i would think. i wouldnt use it as iv got access to a ramp

What if you end up rounding off bolts or snapping something & the cars stuck on the ramp for longer than planned

Would also have imagined it would be hard for a place like that to get insurance to be able to run.....

That happens at garages anyway, I think it will only be cost effective if you know exactly what you are doing.
I personally wouldn't bother ever going to a place like that, unless its an emergency.

most people who can fix there own cars already have the tools but it is a very good idea, I know sometimes a hoist would come in very handy.

I think it's a good idea if you're confident enough to take on your own work.

Doesn't even seem that expensive, particularly if you buy up a few hours.

Seems pretty good to me for the right job. Would have to be for the most complex tasks rather than things as simple as an oil change etc
