I wouldn't be surprised if he was alive to be honest... it all seemed a bit suspicious.
Jackson low on money and life a bit of a joke.
Comes out of retirement and announces an unimaginable number of gigs... Probably took a huge lump sum of cash upfront.
Realises theres no way he can do them all (or was always the plan).
Fakes death, and gets yet more plastic surgery to hide his identity.
