What should I look out for? Also the Abs light has come on the dash could this be something major or just a sensor? The Abs apparently still works fine. Not bothered about their slow, or their shit comments etc just anything that I can check to see if its a dog and or gonna cost me money to put right! Thanks

will be just a sensor, however the ABS wont still be working fine until you replcae the sensor.
ATE front sensors are about 50 quid off ebay, 70 quid for the rears, a lot more from Ford though

you wont be able to tell unless you either get the car hooked up to a diag machine, or manually check each sensor with a multimeter

when my ABS light was on on my golf it wouldnt work, wheels would lock and just slide unless i pumped it. Fixed car so light went off and it worked again.
How did you test it?

Was about to mention heater control valves, check the heater works on all speed settings and blows hot and cold air
also check the pipes going to the heater control valve are firm and the plastic joints arent crumbling, however a new HCV is 27 quid so no biggy

Yea ive still got mine. New manifold is a must on them, rev so much harder.
Rear strut top mounts are another common thing but most of the are easy and cheap to fix.

Lift the bonnet and in the middle upper part of the bulkhead theres 2 pipes that go through the rubber and on the other side is the hcv.
Exactly the same as puma's

not to bad, backbox's rot just behind the box itself on the join lol.
The one on mine is really subtle tbh.
If your keeping it standard i would get a better flowing panel filter, pipercross one i had in mine helped it rev smoother and seemed better on fuel aswell.
