yes i know, another thread about cars by me

these are nice looking cars and seem to have the power to go with the looks.

warren's one doesn't seem to hang around, and they are quite cheap-ish now.

what are they like to drive? heard that the handling isn't very good as standard but can be improved with ARB's and other bits?

any opinions, comments, criticism's, known faults etc are welcomed, as are any nice pics of them.

i like the silver or red with anthracite wheels. the blue is nice also. not sure on black.

Compared to your Focus and Puma it will feel like a right barge, with modifications they do grip but the handling is very numb.

Look stunning and are very well built. If you slog up and down Mways then they are good, apart from i found the seats gave me back pain

However we all know my views on the subject so i wont bang on. But avoid like the plague.

you not looked at the coupes? tend to be cheaper than the gsi`s and most come with full leather etc.

All car seats i've had give me back pain so thats ok.

Why avoid them jambo?

Also looked at the coupes but prefer the styling of the gsi

I like em, only driven my mates one briefly but I thought it was good. He had a Courtney Handling Package I believe and it handled really well so I'm surprised how rubbish people say they are

They look good too

ive got coilovers on my coupe and i think it handles pritty well to be honest. do plan to get a rarb though, heard great stuff about them

Ben they are the most mind numbing car to drive ever. Absoloutly no feedback at all. Its all electronic. No matter how many gubbins you chuck at the chassis, its stable and capable of gripping. Its just fucking dull.

going from something lively and famed for the driver enjoyment as a Puma and a St you will be sorely dissapointed. And to add to that you cant see out the back its hard to park due to its high sides low bonnet and spoiler. They drink petrol, in standard form they arent particularly quick.

Most people who have bought them and have driven alot of cars for e.g Me, Fad, Rob all will tell you the same thing. We all bought them and sold them after a short ownership nothing "wrong" with it but you will fall asleep driving it and it will leave you feeling uninspired and unentertained.

all the above is IMO before the fanboys start.

I like what your doing with yours

I looked at 5, the silver one being number 6. I was lucky enough to haggle the price down loads and knew it would need alot of work to get mint.

I never had any problems with mine, but I didnt drive it on death mode alot. Thing that pissed me off was the fact the MPG was shocking !

Would have another one if petrol was cheaper for sure

I thought you bought the puma to save money as you where growing up to buy a house, surely buying one of these is a step in the wrong direction, especially with the price of fuel as it is these days.

I had KW coilover and weichers strut braces, also had a track/fast road camber and tow set-up. No type R or integra got away from on the twisties

I sold the st to get a house deposit i've bought the house now and have spare money left to save for a bigger and better car.

Mate has an Arden blue one, has lsd and coilies etc, does go very well. He's also thinking about selling it iirc.

you might have seen it around number plate starts S666 hardly drives it though tbh.
