my corsa makes this noise from underneeth airbox sounds like its one of the belts or summit. and it sounds like a metal disc going around but really noisy. sometimes its there sometimes it isnt? could it be aircon or powersteerin belt?

Cam belt catching on the casing. Check the belt to make sure it isn't about to snap and demolish your engine!

Cam belt tensioner. Whip you cam belt cover off and have a check

This - I had a noise like you described for a month or so, then my waterpump went. changed that and the cambelt + tensioner while in there. Noise has gone now

kk lol cheers had a look at cambelt and it looks almost new....... so u recon it could be waterpump? or anther belt?

Na the plastic tensioner, they might have changed the belt but you need to check the tensioner was also changed. These always go on the 1.6 sport engines

i had this and its the power steering pump pulley , it had just dried out good helping of grease problem spolved
