The eml is currently on my corsa 1.6 16v. However, when I try to read the fault codes by doing a paper clip test its flashing up old codes from ages ago when first started it. Immobiliser etc which are not longer relevent. I've tried disconnecting the battery but its still bringing up these old codes. Am I doing the right thing here? I've left it discounted for days as well and its still wont wipe them

have you tried diagnostics machine ?
thats how i always do mine and they dont come back
