i want to insure a car, but whilst still insuring my current car, i would add it onto my current insurance but they wont insure this other car till my birthday in August, so which companies allow you to use the no claims from another account, and have both insured, if that makes sense?

If you mean a company who will mirror your no claims I doubt there will be any.

The company who currently insures you is normally the only one who'll do it.

Hastings Direct.

Wouldn't do a dual bike policy but would replicate my NCB onto a 2nd policy.

Always gave me good prices too, was with them for 5+ years, just not so good for my situation this year.

They only do this if you already have a policey with them though (or starting a new one). They won't replicate your NCB from another insurance company, I don't think anyone would.

I cancelled mine and started again when just 1 of the bikes needed ins run out.

if i am a named driver on an account, but have no claims from another account, does the account that has the no claims have to be cancelled?

You can only use the NCB on one car at a time.

If you cancelled the policy with the NCB on it you could then use that NCB elsewhere.

I searched everywhere for the answer to this about a month ago.

Got no where as no one will do it.

Ended up getting my dad to insure the car and me as a named driver.

Let me know what you end up doing mate. My current policy runs out in 2 moths(which means another years NCB) but i need to get insured on my 1.2 Clio for the time being meaning i either take out another policy(without the NCB) and pay both for 2 months then cancel and take a new policy out after or cancel my current policy and loose the 10 months NCB and start a new one.
