About 4 weeks ago I dropped my car off for new brakes front and rear.
picked up the car, got the receipt, paid the money.
then lately I've had some bad squealing coming from the rear. I took it back to the garage today and they were like 'Ah, this squealing is because you have no rear brake pad left.'
I said 'You guys changed these 4 weeks ago!' - they said 'er, did we? unusual for rear brake pads to get worn so fast'.
Then we went and had a look at my receipt... which clearly shows I was charged for brake pads and fitting for the rear.
The garage bloke just didn't say much other than 'Hmm, unusual for them to wear so fast' ... followed by an awkward silence.
SO OBVIOUS THEY WERE NEVER CHANGED

fuck I just had a thought actually... I should go have a look at the pads.
I'm fairly sure i had DS2500's on there prior... and they were just fitting some standard ones on there.
So if they are still DS2500 it proves it.
Just winds me up how the garage bloke just kinda stood there... not saying much.

Free pads and fitting is in order then i think
Must be something you can do/get out of them.
Suprising that seeing as break are there to stop you and can be dangerous if not replaced that someone would think its ok not to do it and just charge you. -.-

No he wouldn't and he didn't.
But, surely he can put 2 + 2 together and think 'hmm, fuck, I guess we didn't change them... I should offer this guy another set of rear pads and fit them for free'.

Unfortunatly Nics right. Once paying for the item you have agreed to what work has been done. Whats to say you didnt get home and put some shit old pads in so you could get another spare set for free.

no. what i meant was its not free once the garage realise they havent changed them as paul has already paid for them to be changed. the garage cant offer another set of pads fitted for free if they have never fitted the pads he paid for can they?

cant fit them for free if he has already paid for them. not sure why that is confusing. paid for services and parts not serviced and fitted. so its not free is it?

youtube king paul has paid for rear brakes to be done. they have not been done. he said the garage should do them again for free. but its not free as he has already paid for them.
like going to a shop for a honda car mag. paying for it. leave without your beloved honda car mag. then go back in and ask for another for free. yet you have already paid for this amazing honda car mag that you never got. so 2nd time wont be free as its goods for payment the first time. wiki brap blud blud rollin on dub's wid da tec init. incase the last bit helps.
