Theyre the same design as the x12xe and x10xe(With another cylinder)
They're both chain driven and very much differ from the x14/16xe.
This is what i believe.

z14xe is just a 1.4 16v found mainly in a corsa c pre-facelift and the z16xe is just a 1.6 16v found in astra's!
Ofc they differ but not by alot i don't think, if you think of it as the same comparison between x14/x16. It depends what you want to know.
The Z14XEP/16XEP are twinport engines, its like a dual fuel injection system...kinda wierd - google is your best friend for that explanation!!

The twinport system is mainly to do with the intake manifold. From what i understand, at low revs one set of flaps close with the inlet manifold, and when you boot it or the revs reach a certain range then the other larger flaps open letting more air in.
Supposedly it also helps with fuel economy as well, but i wouldnt class it as a dual fuel system.
