after having 2 1.2 16v tappers i'd finally had enough so bought a 1.4 16v sport engine with everything to convert off R055iman and got to work doing it last weekend!
as i was bolting the new engine in my clever mate who is supposed to be a mechanic decides to cut a huge clump of wires off the dash loom and wreckd the whole job
so went out bought a corsa sport dash loom got all that wired in and that went wrong as air bag, eps and a few other things are differnt so a bigger job broke out plans for today are get ANOTHER dash loom off a 1.2 16v get everything workin and get my mate who has a knows what he is doing to sort the wiring out hoping to have it back up and running before monday
i will get sme pics up off the issues ive had and keep uptating how its goes

does the 1.4 16v just replace the 1.2 16v straight? im planning on doing this soon. good luck

Not the easiest of conversions to be honest. The wiring is a nightmare. I had the change the dash loom to get it to work like froffa is doing.

the later 1.2s run on corsa c looms like my x reg but been told its only 6 wires that go colour to colour i will take pics as i go for you!
just got to source a way round the power steering and air con as i will be running eps if any 1 can help?

yea 8v should b simple plug and play its where ecoshite is involved it gets complicated
