i was just thinking about concordes yesterday, strange that. i heard there wasn't much demand for it so it wasn't making a comeback. would be good if it did though.

I remember going to Thorpe Park and one had just taken off over at Heathrow, could see it clear as day and even hear its engines. Was an epic sight.

Says it's just for heratage purposes in the article as there is no demand for that kind of transport.

It'll still fly though. It's a good start.

I used to see one every day go past mine at about 5 in the afternoon. As a kid, I always wanted to go on one. It would be great if they did fly again, such a unique an utter aircraft that was a huge icon. Obviously it started going down the shitter, not making enough money, unreliable etc

I'm not so sure they'll bring back either. I thought the there were two reasons for pulling it out of service in the first place - lack of passenger demand and the cost of maintenance and parts from airbus was through the roof.
It'd cost millions to get the engines running again, never mind fly it.
Unless of course some very generous benefactor comes along to donate the cash needed!

If they can get the Vulcan back in the air then the Concorde should be easy
