Im currently torn between cars at the moment.
Im looking for a fairly decent sized "family car", which is still quite nice but also has a bit of guts (nothing stupid).

I think ive narrowed it down to these two cars below, but still cant make my mind up, I wondered what people thought;

2006 BMW 5 SERIES 535D M SPORT and 2008 Audi A4 3000 cc 3.0 TDI QUATTRO

Both very similar spec, except the BMW is 270bhp compared to 240, but I think I prefer the outside look to the BMW as its more chunky.
The BMW will hold its money more, but the Audi is 2 years newer, has 10k less miles, has alot of modern gadgets (rear parking TV, audi parking assistant).

Any thoughts/opinions anyone? Im bloody indecisive at the moment!

I would personally go the BMW, lovelly cars!! Nicer than an A4, and do you really need the gadgets like parking sensors etc? I don't think they would be something that would help sway my decision personally. And 10k less miles is nothing really, specially on BMWs and Audi's!

I'd take the 5 series if they were the same age/price/spec, in this case though the newer audi.

See things like that don't really ' do it' for me, but if your going to use the gadgets, the Audi is the answer

Im kinda of this opinion, its just the age/additional gadgets of the A4 which is tempting me.

THe BMW still has telephone/sat nav/parking aids etc, so its not missing out on much.
The A4 is a 'lower class' car imo, where as the 5 series just looks more....luxurous/substancial?

In 4 years time when I come to sell, the BMW will be worth more which is also very tempting.
