My bikes rear suspension lost compression today so i road all the way to halfords(5 miles) to see the amazing bike mechanics, but apparently they arent qualified enough to put air in it. So fucking gay!

I wouldnt have even considered halfords to do that kind of job. I would have taken it to a bikeshop as they deal alot more with repairs. Halfords have the ability of 5 year olds when it comes to bikes......

Common knowledge that halfords are shit when it comes to bikes.

I had a customer come into our store (i work in a bike shop), went over to see is he was ok, he said he was just admiring the road bikes and that it was a shame he was to big for them (weighed too much)

Turns out he weighs 13-14stone and the guys at halfords told him he was too heavy for a road bike

Pumps are pretty cheep £25, can get them cheeper on ebay.

Cant see why it would just loose pressure like that though, have you tried to tighten the valve with a valve key?

its been stood still for a while and ive been using it regularly for the past 3 weeks off road and i just heard air hiss and it just wouldnt spring back up.

I know nothing about bikes. I spoke to my dad and he said it would need air pumping into it.

I my defence I feel I am a good bike mechanic and used to work part time in bike hut when I was at college. I can most things including fork servicing and wheel building from scratch etc

I am with you that some are mongs though. Went on a training course and some peoples knowledge of bikes was shocking

Yeah would have to be a specific size, and you could buy a new one but it would cost £200

Service would be £89.99
