had no issues with mine

alot to turbo issues is to much oil pressure, you can buy a bolt that goes in the turbo to reduce this.....

also bad maps can cause turbo failure

Yeah, it says he drives it like a complete and utter tool.

Our VXR has done nearly 60,000 miles and not had a single issue with it.

Donnas turbo on her C20LET in the corsa is on about 100,000 miles now, also still pulls really hard with minimal lag.

VX turbos are terrible at what they are designed for. Peopel wack up the boost and wonder why they go bang

about 300bhp

Exactly Iaz, I think its far mroe down to people who drive about thrashing it everywhere, then wonder why it goes pop or they have oil pressure issues.

Ours is warmed up, and cooled down properly. Mechanically its been fine.

Had no issues with mine to date (touches wood), don't get me wrong it gets drivern and drivern hard sometimes but is looked after with oil change every 3k Mine is running 272bhp on a map from red dot. Allways warmed up cooled down.

Our oil is changed once a year, or about 15,000 miles odd.

Vauxhall rate every year or 20,000 miles.

Its a bit like the old chocolate 4x4 system. Everyone slates it, its sh1te etc blah blah.. But of those people, i'll bet hardly any have kept to service schedules and repalced transfex box fluid etc when they are meant to.

Then they put another 100bhp through it, never replace the fluids, then wonder why it messes up after 100,000 miles

People saying they have issues are the ones that spend their evenings at Lakeside racing Saxos...

all my engines have been running around the 290bhp mark! all courtney tuned! to be honest my engines doing have easiest time, 2 mile trips to my shed and back the car never warms up!

think the vx engine has easy time tho, does not need much for the 300hp to still get it moving!

just given both cars oil change this last week, oil filters about £3, oil was 4 for 3 at the moment so sure oil change cost around £20 with filter!

think the oil cost £50 for 20 litres of vauxhall fully synthetic! fuel is only half that price! lol
